In todays USA today there are the results of a poll.....in this poll people were asked about obamma care...when asked "Are you opposed to Obamacare", is was 46% opposed, but when the same people were asked "are you opposed to the affordable care act"...only 37% were opposed.
30% didnt know what the affordable care act was, but only 12% didnt know what Obamacare was.
Some other things of note also....... only 38% were certain that the Soviet union was not in NATO......50% thought the Karl Marx quote "from each according to his ability's, to each according to his needs" was in the Constitution......
what a joke......

I don't find it surprising to require people to have health insurance.
Since all the "healthy" folks who don't need it will still show up at the ER wanting their life saved and not pay the bill.
I do find it interesting that so many have no clue
The ignorance people profess is an ignorance of choice, laziness and adherence to partisan dogma. After four years the only reason why Americans do not know what is in the law is because they have made the choice to not know. They have decided it is easier to be ignorant, to listen to partisan bloviators and mimic the lies.
Far too many Americans today are Citizens of their Party FIRST, and of their country only incidentally. As such they embrace whatever bullpuckey is fed to them.
The conservative side has been the most severely afflicted with this, the liberal side less so. But that gets down only to the quantity of topics. On any given topic, any one issue, the two sides are hugging tightly their respective ideological and dogmatic extremes.
Only in such an environment could Democrats finally come to agree with Republicans on health insurance reform and then see the Republicans turn around and assault their own plan.
I would bet if asked who one of the kardashians was marred to it would have been 90%.[V][V][xx(][xx(][:(!][:(!]
Don't have numbers in front of me and about to head for work ... but ... there have also been polls where neither "Obama Care" nor the "Affordable Care Act" are mentioned. Instead the specific provisions are listed, and responses to those are positive.

The survey is a stark reminder of the daunting task ahead for the White House as it works not only to remind people that the law exists, but to encourage them to enroll in its new coverage options.
Seven percent of those polled thought the law was struck down by the Supreme Court. Twelve percent thought Congress has repealed the law, and another 23 percent didn't know or refused to answer."

Polls don't mean squat.
"Forty percent of the public does not know that President Obama's healthcare law remains on the books and is being implemented, according to a new poll from the Kaiser Family Foundation.

Polls don't mean squat.
Polls don't mean squat to those who desire different results. Every politician, every political operative among the Parties knows from long, hard experience that Polling is invaluable and deeply meaningful.
They also know that polls can be twisted or slanted, and they use that knowledge to create polls in support of their advertising. They still look at the real polls, the independent ones, the averages of multiple polls.
Nothing is so simple in our politics as, well, "squat".
