    That is not all true. He did not start the Fire on the USS Forestal.

    The A-4 that McCain flew doesn't have an afterburner. It hard to do a wet start without and afterburner. His plane was facing the wrong way to have cause this.


    I am not a McCain fan.

    I don't know who J. H. Holtz is but according to his Man Talk Blog he is a manly MAN who likes to talk about manly things. Since I don't know who he is I won't question his motives, but like most spin masters, he's full of poop. If I had read the article without his name on it I would have thought it was written by Paul Begala or Allen Combs, or maybe Hillary or Obama or Trump.

    He takes and incident which did happen, adds some hearsay and his own cow cookies, then sprinkles in enough truth to make it look plausible and spins the hell out of it.

    Bottom line is it doesn't matter. McCain isn't running for anything. Trump has already announced his intention to scuttle the election for the Republicans. Either by winning the nomination and losing the election himself, or running as a "third" party candidate.

    There is video of a recognizable McCain exiting his plane, amongst the parked planes, after they were hit by the Zuni rocket.

    The article's dealing with this incident is a complete fabrication.
    Freedom and a submissive populace cannot co-exist.

    There is another flaw in J. H. Holtz's article. He says a couple of times McCain almost sunk USS Forrestal (CV-59). While anything afloat can be sunk, United States Aircraft Carriers ain't that easy. I've heard trying to sink a Carrier compared to trying to sink a case of Ping-Pong balls with a BB gun. Yeah, it can be done.

    I dislike McCain. Wouldn't vote for him to plunger stuck up toilets.

    But as for Vietnam he's in the clear. The B.S. on Lew Rockwell's website is exactly that, a load of bullchips.

    I don't dislike the boy, but I'd rather not have him in government. I'd like to remove all the socialists. As socialists go he's as good as any and better than some.

    what a wet start is.Also was his
    Ordinance armed while on deck.
    And would the bombs explode being dropped
    if they weren't armed?

    A wet start is when fuel is pooled in the engine before it is ignited. Makes a loud boom and burst of flame. Can damage or destroy the engine.

    Normal start is the turbine is spun up with a starter motor, then fuel feed and igniters are activated.
