You're a sick man, Wallie. I hope you never recover. [:D]

Sometimes I feel for those TSA agents. I did the exact same job in the early 80s (for minimum wage of $3.10/hour too) with 3 or 4 other people manning a checkpoint at SeaTac. We didn't have gloves. We didn't have uniforms. Their equipment is far superior to what we used back then. I had to do pat downs periodically; usually on wheel chair bound persons of my gender. We actually considered ourselves to be polite, courteous, and efficient service providers.

The folks I met on a series of flights last month appeared to be cut from the same cloth. No one I met was anything like wallie's animation.

TSA is what you would get if the Schutzstaffel had been recruited the three stooges. Non the less, the potential for tyranny at homeland is huge, and currently the useless drain on the budget is equally huge.

There's a whole lot of "Security Theater" alright, but most of the people are just working for a living. You do get some a_sholes, that's just playing the odds in any population. The serious screw-ups begin at the top, get amplified in middle management and the regular people at the bottom have to shovel to keep up.
