three - four years ago it would have been a great price ,
now I would guess the market is running well over the top on AR rifles of all makes and models ,
Every Walmart I have been too has several + in there case , not counting what's in the stock room , gun shows seem to be the same tables full of them .
JMHO but its a buyers market for sure right now on the black rifles .
I can not say buy it or not that's a personal choice , I would look at the auctions see what the same one is selling for . before buying it .

As far as the rifle itself,I have never really heard anyone rave about DPMS but,I also havn't heard anyone say anything bad about them, unlike many other manufacturers..

I own a few DPMS products, and would buy more. I'm completely happy with the quality and performance. Can't say I've priced them recently but that one seems to be in the ballpark.

I'd rather have that mp sport
Or a PSA premium build for 550
Sure that dpms is ok but I'd keep looking

I recently bought an Oracle and am very pleased with it. Have run about 500 rounds through it and it's been flawless. It is VERY accurate.

I've heard some guys disparage it in reviews, but it sounded like they wanted one to drag through rice paddies and sandstorms and such.

Just keep it clean and it will serve you well. Usually gets a 4-5 (out of 5) rating on the review sites.

It might not be the best 15 - but it's a good one!

I was never impressed with the DPMS academy sold, but yet again they could've been the cheaper models. The S&W and Windham seemed a lot better.

I don't claim to be any expert on AR's, just own a couple and enjoy shooting them. The "major improvements" I made were a free float hand guard and a MagPul buttstock.

With the Delta Ring in place, that quad-rail is not a free-float. So you gain nothing in accuracy but do add more weight hanging on the barrel. Don't see any advantage there.

If looking for minimum cost look for a standard hand guard. Keep it basic and the whole deal these days should come in under $600.

If you can spend a bit more look for free-float hand guards that clamp onto the barrel nut, or come with one already installed. That means no Delta-Ring, or like me you cut it off and install your own hand guard.

Not so much a quad-rail though, adds weight and not many people really need all the mounting options (I sure don't!). Look for a tubular free-float that has places to mount rails only where you want them.
