    In all of those scams there is always at least one person on this side to accept/cash the payments. I've seen some pretty sophisticated ones.

    I managed to string one on and on for about 3 months a few years ago. I pretended to be an elderly widow with lots of disposable cash. Lots of fun. Just create a fake email account on yahoo or one of the other anonymous sites. I frustrated the heck out of him by constantly coming up with ways to delay sending the money. [}:)][:D]

    There are some groups known as scambaiters or 419 Eaters (419 is the penal code section for these scams) Their hobby is to have fun screwing with the scammers.

    Here is one that managed to have their scammer permanently mark himself for easy ID. Long read, but entertaining. And the term Shiver is as in "Shiver me timbers!"
