I am acquiring a Hi Point 995 Classic Carbine. I wish to install a scope on it. Does anyone know where I can get the top rail made to fit this gun ???

Thanks for the response. I know Hi-Point is the best place, but I haven't yet been able to get through. I thought that perhaps someone had a "take-off". Be Blessed. Merry Christmas.

Why not just pick up an aftermarket rail for it?

Where? Who makes one with the mounting holes in the correct place? Duh - that's what I'm trying to ascertain!

Well there are quite a few places you can get one if you do a search for "picatinny rail". You may or may not find one that will fit the holes perfectly but it is easy to drill the rail or the receiver shroud to attach it. If you don't have that skill then you are better off contacting Hi-Point. (And it's not polite to 'duh' someone who is trying to help you)

Sorry. I was just trying to find one that specifically fit this gun. I do not have a machine shop. If I drill the holes by hand, it might not be right. Even 1/64" off will affect the aim of the scope.

bk0331 - I apologize for the "Duh". I just want it to be right. I can't expect everyone to understand the precision that is a way of life for me. Hand drilling a rail is just not precise enough for me. I didn't mean to offend anyone. Thank you for trying to help!

Thanks for your input. Ideally, the scope should be installed as close to center as you can get it (with crosshairs centered in scope), before adjusting windage and elevation turrets. I am not going to install it with the crosshairs 6 inches off target, and then depend on the windage and elevation turrets to compensate for the misalignment.
