This is one way to discourage higher minimum wage costs for unskilled workers! Well maybe semi-skill workers too! Get ready for universal debit cards for stay at home peon's but not until Trump gets replaced after the War of Northern Aggression ![:o)]

Last year, the kiosks were coming. It didn't take them long to get here.

Wendy's plans to install self-ordering kiosks in 1,000 of its stores - about 16 percent of its locations - by the end of the year.

The Dublin-based burger giant started offering kiosks last year, and demand for the technology has been high from both customers and franchise owners.

"There is a huge amount of pull from (franchisees) in order to get them," David Trimm, Wendy's chief information officer, said last week during the company's investors' day.

"With the demand we are seeing ... we can absolutely see our way to having 1,000 or more restaurants live with kiosks by the end of the year."

Hordes of "gimmedats" demanded greenbacks. And got pink slips instead.

The downside is that they'll all be back at Wendy's soon. Buying burgers with their brand new EBT cards.
    I may be a bit crazy - but I didn't drive myself.

Ever order food in a Sheetz or WaWa? They have been using touch screen kiosks to order for some years now.

It's going to be everywhere in the market place soon and if you can't keep up with the skill set coming than bye bye for you because ain't nobody going to care about it other than giving you a hard time about being too stupid.

Watch crime soar as The Trump Administration tries to cut deep into free social hand outs in The USA. His state of the union address is going to be declaration of war on the Great Society LBJ give out after The Civil Rights Act passed in 1964 and that's exactly how the minorities will put it too!

Trump is going to see hundreds of marches and mass rebellions against his moves in Congress and he will shut down the government but it may then shock the whole money system where the cashless society sweeps in taking The US reserve currency down with it!

Remember the pop music group of the 60's - "The Archies"? A bunch of studio musicians fronting for a cartoon group singing "Sugar, Sugar". The creator said something along the lines of - "hey look, they're cartoons. They don't get sick, they don't show up late, they don't make salary demands and they don't get loaded on the weekend". And with respect to Wendy's they don't demand $15.00 per hr.

On the one hand it's unfortunate that some kids, seniors and lower skilled folks won't have a job. On the other, someone's got to create, design, build, maintain and repair those robots. So it seems to me some higher paying jobs will actually be created as a result. The market, and not an artificial mandate, dictates where jobs go and what they pay. As it should be.

The jobs created will be minuscule at best. One guy driving around in a van servicing registered credit/money machines working for the Wendy's.

With 200 people out of a job in a major city over 24 hour period 365 days a year.

Class warfare is coming back and it's not going to be pretty. That's why they are bringing in The Total Surveillance State now and I would not want to be a police officer in the next few years as they make the transition.

Maybe robo cop is next for the we the people?

    http://www.dukechronicle.com/article/2016/02/robocop-is-coming-pratts-wadhwa-predicts-human-jobs-will-be-replaced

It's going to be industry by industry. In the 2020s, you are looking at jobs of taxis and drivers and anyone in the transportation industry being eliminated. In the 2030s, the vast majority of knowledge jobs that require intelligence will be eliminated. Politicians are typically good at preserving their jobs, though. In the military we already see robots and killing machines that can do warfare, so I doubt we're going to see that [human military jobs]. RoboCop is coming. We'll have AI writing AI, so computer science isn't even safe, but we need to learn it because for the next 10-20 years it's a language like reading and writing, and it will be beneficial to have it.

You guys are not getting the whole picture. That article only addresses the customer interface (the kiosk) The real magic is the BurgerBot 20121001-224803-Momentum-Whole-Bot.JPG

These things grind the meat for the patty to order, cook the buns, slice the condiments and assemble everything custom to order. Want a 50% bison 50% beef patty on a pretzel bun, hold the onions and mayo... No problem. Machines like that will need people the fill and clean them and repair them. That is a skilled trade. Momentum Machines was supposed to have one of these operational in San Fran late last year.

Have you heard anything from those rioters in Berkeley lately? That's the tip of the iceberg!

    serf

    http://www.breitbart.com/milo/2017/02/07/fbi-investigating-violent-uc-berkeley-rioters/

In an email to students, UC Berkeley spokesperson said that "The campus is aware of the allegations involving someone who is a current member of the university's workforce," adding that "UCPD is working in close concert with the FBI on an ongoing investigation into the matter."

Since news of the riot broke out, the university has consistently denied student involvement in the riots. In a statement, the university's chancellor, Nicholas Dirks, claimed that instead of being caused by students, the riots were initiated by "armed individuals in `ninja-like' uniforms, using paramilitary tactics."

If these DEMOCRAT voting rioters and looters want to destroy their own milieus, campuses, and cities, I am good with it. They have no political opposition whatsoever on campuses and in the cities where such behavior occurs.

In fact, DEMOCRAT leadership has been know to call off the police and give them room to do just that.

There is a large service economy. Folk need to fix these robots. Decent hard working types will find a way. If you dont work you should starve off and die.
