I saw a 5 minute report on the national news on meth. They said the old days of local hillbillies stealing a case of Sudafed and brewing up meth are just about over.
They said the Mexican cartels are making meth twice as strong as what the white trash could make, and cheaper too. Evidently they smuggle as much across as they can make.
They showed a meth freak in Dallas, 27 year old white boy, living in a pup tent under a highway overpass. He was about to keel over from meth withdrawal, hadn't had a puff in hours. He went out and panhandled $20 in a few minutes. He went and found his dealer and got his meth, they showed him smoking it.

Then, the world was all right for this man. He looked as screwed up as the people in these pics.
The reporter said that on average, once a person gets hooked on meth they will live for 7 more years.
This guy in Dallas looked like he wouldn't make it 'til Christmas.

I took a 1 day police course on meth. The instructor said that meth is the most addictive drug known. A single dose is usually enough to hook someone. It's rare for someone to kick the meth habit.

Terrible acne is common. Most addicts lose their teeth due to destruction of the gums.
