What's your opinion of the best movie with courtroom scenes?

I'll start with "To Kill a Mockingbird"

A few Good Men jumps out alright. Another good one is "A Time to Kill" with Matthew McConaughey, Sandra Bullock and Samuel L. Jackson. "Primal Fear" with Richard Gere and Edward Norton has a great ending.

Two come to mind, as an augment to the string:
    1. Witness for the Prosecution-Marlene Dietreich/Charles Laughton.
    2. (Assault at West Point*) It stars Samuel Jackson, and Sam Waterston in the true story of an 1870's court martial of [the first] black West Point cadet. The 'off scenes' are pure conjecture, but the courtroom scenes were taken directly from the minutes recorded during the actual trial. Best, Joe

The video clip of a judge taking-out a guy in his courtroom that pulled a gun and had opened up.

I don't know the title, if it had one ... and it did not last long ... it was memorable courtroom scene though!

Anatomy of a Murder with Jimmy Stewart. George C. Scott was excellent in his role and Lee Remick was simply stunning [:p].

quote:Arthur Kirkland: That man is guilty! That man, there, that man is a slime! he is a *slime*! If he's allowed to go free, then something really wrong is goin' on here!
Judge Rayford: Mr. Kirkland you are out of order!
Arthur Kirkland: You're out of order! You're out of order! The whole trial is out of order! They're out of order! That man, that sick, crazy, depraved man, raped and beat that woman there, and he'd like to do it again! He *told* me so! It's just a show! It's a show! It's "Let's Make A Deal"! "Let's Make A Deal"! Hey Frank, you wanna "Make A Deal"? I got an insane judge who likes to beat the poop out of women! Whaddya wanna gimme Frank, 3 weeks probation?
    Frank Bowers: *Dammit!*
Arthur Kirkland: [to Judge Fleming] You, you sonofabitch, you! You're supposed to *stand* for somethin'! You're supposed to protect people! But instead you rape and murder them!
[dragged out of court by bailiffs]
Arthur Kirkland: You killed McCullough! You killed him! Hold it! Hold it! I just completed my opening statement!

    Inherit the Wind

All great flicks mentioned already. But there was one, I can't for the life of me remember the title??? Maybe some one here knows it???? Was on BBC about 20 to 25 years ago. About a newspaper reporter that covered WW2 and he was suing for Libel and slander...he was called a coward. He had a big burly Canadian Col. for his witness. He told about the terrible loses the Canadians took on the beaches and how the reporter help carry the wounded and dead back to the ships. anybody know it's title??

No question the answer is "Judgement at Nuremburg".

Hands down, nothing else comes close.
