Infamously used in the assassination of Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi, the world famous peace activist and the leader of Indian Independence Movement. I thought it was interesting to know.

In the movie Gandhi the assassin shoots him with what looks be to a S&W revolver.
We have to fight so we can run away.
Capt. Jack Sparrow.

A lot of people have been killed with those underpowered .32s and .380s. Maybe people are tougher these days, eh?

I don't know about tougher but Ghandi was about 90 pounds soaking wet and I bet his chest was maybe 8 inches thick, front to back. Those 380's probably passed right through his skinny *.[:D]

huge difference between dieing and stopping a threat, a person can take a liver shot with a .25acp and die 2 days later, after they killed the person who shot them

I worked with a fellow years ago John was my trainer on the construction site he was a heavy guy on a med frame , we were talking about guns and so on , any way he showed me where a fellow at a bar emptied a 25 auto into his chest , Of course I was not there but he told me was still abbe to take the gun and fight before they took him to the hospital , he had what looked like 5 or 6 scars where the bullets went in ,

Ghandi didn't die right away. He went down and was moved to a house where he died a few minutes later. His last words were "Oh God".

The guy that shot him was a hindu who was mad that Ghandi was showing partiality to Indian muslims. There was a lot of hatred between the Hindu's and muslims in India at that time and Ghandi was trying to unite them into one India......he failed or really did not get a chance because he was put down with the 380 and they still hate each other today, they have even fought 2 or 3 wars with each other.
