This one is going to be a steal for someone. The pictures make it look a LOT worse than it looks in person. This thing was left in a case that discolored the finish. If you rub your hand over the affected areas you cannot feel the imperfections....they are just discolorations and not pitting.

These rifles are VERY pricey and this is going to be one for you guys to watch....because I'm betting those spots mean someone is going to get a really good deal.

I bet that rifle still brings good money. A little work with fine bronze wool wet with Kroil will clean that gun right up. Good luck!!

I have a Weatherby accumark in 340 almost like this one but mine has the flutted barrel. I wonder if this is an older accumark before they flutted them?

That would be a great rifle for use in AK.

Moose and the big bears in a wet environment, that 340 would do the job.

    Nice rifle.

    I bet $850

It doesn't look bad at all. It will clean up very nicely and make an excellent working gun. I'm thinking it will get to 4 figures.

There are several variants of the Mark V....I don't see these enough to pick out the little differences and I'm not able to nail down exactly what one this is. I'm guessing it is a Weathermark??? The stainless finish and synthetic stock kind of point me in that direction. I could be wrong. I think the accumark has the fluted barrel and the splatter paint finish on the stocks.

850 will be a starting bid on the 1600.00 to 1800.00 dollar gun when it was new. I bought mine a few months back for around 1200.00 from Kasey.

The accumarks were a variation of the MK 5's. They came with the fluted barrels and the spider web stocks. I had one in 338-378. IIRC, this is just a MK V stainless.

Thanks for that info on it. I have several accumarks in 257, 300, 30-378, and 340 and all of them have the flutted barrels.

Around 1997 I was running a small gun shop with a little 50? dirt range with six shooting positions. I was a part time job for me and we only kept maybe 60 guns in stock. Maybe 10 days before Christmas a lady came in with a picture and part number for Weatherby?s then new Accumark rifle chambered in .30-378 telling me she just had to have that rifle for her husband for Christmas morning. She put down a deposit and I spent a lot of time calling every distributor in the country looking. No joy!! No one had that rifle. I was running out of options and time when I remembered elsewhere in Maine. I got the manager of their gun dept. on the phone and they had one rifle in stock. I made the best deal I could (Kittery is a giant retail store, not wholesale) and had the gun shipped. I informed the lady the price was going to be more but she didn?t care.
Well here?s the part I?m kind of ashamed of. The gun came in, I called the lady and she was there in a flash. We were both so excited we were laughing and high fiving, I was so proud of myself. The customer left and I got back to work. An hour or so later it dawned on me that I had neglected to have a form 4473 filled out. I had sent a gun out having done no paperwork whatsoever. I had to call and have her return to the store.

What would be the starting bid on a .270 Wby Mag, Mk V, original wood stock, 60's vintage (Belgium made), exquisite condition...with original Wby 2-10 scope?

No spots, nothing. Rifling is pristine, immaculately maintained firearm. (probably less than 200 rounds through it).

Not ported...straight original. Crown is perfect.

    $1250 to the right guy.

LF I wish you had done better, that was a nice rifle.
