    I would think that something with a lit fuse would have been a little safer for the first two photo's.

    would the second photo even work? wouldn't the escavator just bounce backwards when the jackhammer attachment hit the building since it is just hanging in midair without any damage to building...

    it will work.

    The mass of the machine "takes" up the recoil effect. Like why a
    20lb rifle kicks less than a 6lb rifle.[;)]

    Retroxler... You said "think". Somehow I doubt any thought was involved. Thankfully this doesn't appear to be a mainline and I doubt there was any real danger of a high speed train barreling down the track.

    All the same it rather confirms my general opinion of those around us. I marvel at how they ever survive the day. Wow!
