"We" have already demonstrated what we are willing to pay for ammunition.

Until "we" demonstrate we will not pay the current price, it will not go down.

It's happening right now, two local shops are cleaning the shelves with some very good deals on the evil black ones, of different brands too, I picked up a Spikes carbine for song and dance yesterday.

If I was a manufacturer I would not be lowering my prices. I have already found out I can sell my entire production run at high prices to the gullible out there. Why on earth would I cut my own revenue by lowering prices. [;)][:D]

Because you have to move product to generate revenue. Without revenue you can't pay bills, employees or maintenance and equipment costs. Without revenue there is no business.

It's up to us, let sales fall and prices will follow.

If everyone just puts their .22s away for a year and shoots their 9s, 380s, 38s, whatever instead. It would probably create enough of a glut in their warehouses that prices could go down and supply would outstrip demand. Of course, they could just wait us out and win in the long run.

A week ago Cabela's had Wyndham SRC's for $150 off their regular price of $850. I bought one and would say that prices are definitely going to come down, if slowly.

    It's a wonderful rifle. Now I'm hoping for a big sale of 5.56. [:)]

I agree with montanajoe, prices won't really go down, but availability will improve and prices won't rise.

I went to a large gun show last weekend and black rifles were cheap, cheap, cheap compared to the last few years........there was no buying going on and very little interest in them shown, I think the law of supply & demand has raised it's head and people are acting sober now that the law has appeared [:)].
