We have to light 5 candles.
As you can see we light the black candle 1st then the outermost green and red and last the green and red next to them.
This is interesting as the base of this kinara(The candle holder thingy) is a
This a symbol of Togetherness and family and was used in Tanzinia to promote their failed commie policy of Ujamaa.
Ujamaa is also the "fourth principle of the Nguzo Saba(Principles of Kwanzaa) is a commitment to the practice of shared social wealth and the work needed to achieve it. Ujamaa, as the late Julius Nyerere points out; "is above all human centered and concerned foremost with the well being, happiness, and development of the human person"
Now our Kwanzaa creator the criminal terrorist Ronald Evert stole this principal from Julius Nyerere who was the Dictator of Tanzania from 1963-85. Julius wanted Tanzania to become a economic powerhouse and he thought that if he made a kind of African style communism all would be good.
He tried to do this by promoting Swahili as a national language, doing away with tribalism and have a kind of "villiagization" of their economy. This is a from or Maoism and Kymere Rough light[;)]
Nice try but no soap Julius.
A good example of what kind of guy Julius was Jimmy Carter was a big buddy of his..................that should tell you all you need to know.
Needless to say it failed like all commie ides do. He stepped down, They elected a President and started doing OK.
But to get back to Kwanzaa on the 4th day we light the candles then discuss communism drink from the unity cup put out the candle. What Kwanzaa states the principle of Ujamaa means is:
"Build and maintain our own stores, shops, and other businesses and profit from them together".
We see how that works[;)] Can you say Ferguson or Harlem or Watts?
Nice try.
Kwanzaa is a great idea and sounds really good but so does Communism. Until you dig a little deeper. Its nothing but a sham just like communism.

It seems fake/forced/racist to me.
That said, I've got to say - if it Elevates even One person from indolence, it is good. Maybe in a Thousand Years, folks will give respect and kind regards to the Kwanzaa "Tradition" that is similar to that given to Hanukkah or Christmas traditions of Today.
I feel similarly WRT the "Festivus" observances as well.
IMNSHO, YMMV, &etc...
I pre-date the Invention of the Kwanzaa belief system.

Well said.
It's easy to be communist when you'r talking about other people's stuff.
That is a fact!
Its also easy to try to end tribalism when you are in the most powerful tribe[;)]
I don't know/care about something called Quanzah.
