22 Ammo Makes Me Laugh

Every time i see a post about 22 ammo i go to the page right then to buy some. I have not been lucky enough to buy any in over 5 years now.

My grandson is 11 now and if it was up to him he would shoot every day. I only get him 3 or 4 times a month but with summer break he stays a lot with my wife and i.

If it was not for GB members he would not have any to shoot. I would like to pay it forward but i can not find any.

2475 rounds of Federal and Remington (golden bullets) from online purchases arrived today at a cost of about 6.5 cents per round delivered. It's out there.

    Dave
I was glad to help the kids.
I watch the internet as I do not sleep very well so at any time day or night I might check in and run across a cheep price but they only last a few minutes when a good deal pops up 6 cents or less especially . as for me anything seven cents or free shipping I will pick up what I can , as my time and gas to go find or buy would equal that amount easy
and My youngest son and his GF are out running around on the weekend and sometimes share what they run across with me ,
it seems to be showing up more even right now cabalas has several types but its ten cents or just under a round and still have to pay shipping .
but compared to a year ago when nothing could be had its coming around

Cabela's Online - What I do is order online and use Free Ship To Store. I see there's a Cabela's about as far from you as the one I use is from me.
    http://tinyurl.com/aft99jx

    Map:
    https://goo.gl/maps/Be4Ci

Or there's this online ammo finder, works well:
    http://www.wikiarms.com/

Finally, one of the more expensive options but there it is:
    http://www.GunBroker.com/

I look forward to the day when a Walmart or local gun shop is once again cheaper than a Cabela's. As it is in this weird time we are in, Cabela's online "sale" price is cheaper than Walmart even when a Walmart near me has the ammo I want.

    That's completely flipped asswackbards.

lets see, there are right now 1324 auctions on GunBroker that are selling 22 ammo. oh! oh! I bet your one of them that would like to see 1972 prices again? 22 has been way under priced for yrs! if you didn't stock up when it was cheap, well, no sympathy here! I would like to see cheap prices also, but its not going to happen. if you want to play you have to pay! even if you had to pay 50.00 a brick, so what? for 500.00 you could have 5000rds. that's a lot of shooting for 500.00. what other caliber can you buy as cheap as 22 even with todays prices.

you want to see pricey, try feeding my full auto mg34! I don't sit here and whine or complain, especially when there is a ton of 22 for sale on g.b., I just pay the going rate and still get to enjoy shooting!

Um, okay, this thread went off in an unintended direction. Not severely, still...

As far as what I wrote, no rude remarks or insults intended. Just giving options that work for me and others. Same info I have shared with coworkers and others I've met who found ammo this way.

Those links work and my rimfire ammo (CB, Shorts, Longs, Long Rifle, WRF and WRM) personal stock has increased during all the bad times even while still shooting as I cared to.

just stating the facts. tired of hearing all the whiners here saying they cant find any 22 ammo to buy. guess they missed the 1300+ auctions on g.b? that's like saying " I cant find any machineguns for sale" what people are actually saying is " im just too cheap to pay the current prices and should have bought when prices were low" well, good luck! don't come here whining when there is a ton for sale.

I have over 100,000rds of 22 ammo and buy it all the time! I simply refuse to give any of it to anyone, when they can easily afford the current prices. they just don't want to pay it. who likes higher prices? not me, but im not giving up a hobby just because prices went up a little. how bout cigarette, or alchohol, or gasoline, they all went up, but people still buy them. either buy the ammo, or sell your guns, there are your choices, but quit coming here and whining there is no 22 ammo to be found!

must be more money than sense, when I bought over 10 transfereable machineguns yrs ago and just sold my last one this year and made a killing on them! bought my mac-11s for 600.00 each new in box and sold them for 4800.00 each.bought my m-16 for 4000.00 and sold it for 13,000.00 yep, makes me look dumb! yep. pretty dumb of me to keep buying ammo? I mean, ammo is never ever going to go up again is it? I will be laughing all the way to the bank just like the last time the panic hit.

the prices you see now will seem cheap after the next panic, and im sure the whiners will still be here saying they should have bought at todays prices.

To get back to cases, that last part is a fine pair of sentiments. People did a kindness, DAV1965 wants to do some in return. That's very cool on both sides of it.

Do try the links provided, those should help.

WOW. Being that you don't come around much, I guess you don't know the back story of Dave. Maybe it is not my place to say anything, but this man has fought cancer and went from working 80 to 100 hours a week to some serious financial problems. He also went through a lot of other things you probably don't know or understand like the rest of his"FRIENDS" on here. Very sad and disgusting that you felt the need to belittle or bash him, without knowing him like the rest of us. We support each other here and yes, sometimes we whine or Vent to our friends, that is human nature.

DAVE, I will also be sending you some 22 ammo when the bayonet gets done for your grandson. You were the person I was talking about when I was posting about the bayonet. I really wanted your grandson to have it. I didn't want to tell you like this, but I felt that now was probably the time. God Bless Dave and hopefully you will have enough ammo to get your grandson through his summer. If not, I will send you more. Oakie

Dave, don't worry about paying it forward, because your friends here know that you would do anything for them if you could. The though goes a long way and we all just are glad you are doing better, health and mentally wise. Your GB friend, Oak.

Yup, Cabela's has a long list of .22LR ammo online, in-stock right now. It's a longer list than yesterday.

I like this about how Cabela's operates online. They make the effort to only show what is in-stock. Compare that to Bass Pro, who lists dozens of .22 ammo brands and loads they do not have stock in. You have to dig down deep in their website to discover what is in-stock.

I don't see where I bashed him? Just said I'm tired of the whining about 22 ammo. Sorry for Dave's problems but who doesn't have problems? My mom is dyeing of cancer now and my dad died a slow painfull death but I didn't come on here asking for sympathy or anything else. I've had many many setbacks as well; but I didn't come on here asking for anything. You know oakie your always on here bragging yourself up on how wonderfull you are why don't you send Dave all your 22 ammo instead of just a brick. I mean surely it wont bother someone of such high caliber as yourself to do that would it?

Dave- If Cabela's works good for you to pick up ammo, add their website to your favorites & check it a couple of times a week. I've been able to get a lot of .22's that way.
Cabela's will hold them for a while so you can get several orders in & make one trip.

Cabela's told me if you call the store and ask them to they will hold an order for pickup much longer than the typical couple of weeks.

I was at Dick's a few days back. I wouldn't have bothered but Petsmart didn't have any fish I liked so I went. So went a few doors down and in the gun department there was a sign stating 22 ammo at front counter. Didn't know if it was a new or old sign. Got to the counter and ask the clerk and lo and behold they had some. They sold it in a wierd incriment of 100 and a limit.

Didn't wanna do math so I bought the CCI AR something in a box of 300. After tax it was like $28 not bad since I paid $70 for 500 at the gunshow in June.

lets see, there are right now 1324 auctions on GunBroker that are selling 22 ammo. oh!

Oakie

    Hey *,

Go back to your sandbox and in a couple years when you grow up you can come back and try and play with the big boys. In the meantime we'd prefer you go away. Rude fools are not wanted here.

    dav1965,

The link to Cabela's from the other thread worked for me and I got some minimags at a pretty good price.

    The .22 situation is funny...

Like prices of fuel and other commodity type things. Manipulated!
