Fire Alarm help

OK, I give. We had a fire alarm that decided it needed to chirp every 2 min for eternity. Changed the battery, still chirped. Changed the battery again, still chirps. Checked all the wires, still chirps. Throw it away and buy a new one. It begin to chirp. WTH? Change the battery and it still chirps? Take it off, return it and buy a more expensive nicer model (detects everything) and install it. No chirp!

Until this morning!

Now it's chirping.

Someone please help. I am at a loss. I have tried the silence button everything. And it's still chirping.

Any ideas, suggestions hell, anything at all would be a help!

First answer nailed it. I will not admit to fighting one for three months before changed batteries in the other ones.[:I]

You failed to give us enough information.

What is the date of manufacture stamped on the back?

    Make & model?

    10 year sealed model?

What do you burn in your house? Wood? Coal? Pellets?

What type batteries do you use? Date stamped on batteries?

If they are hardwired together, change ALL the batteries and check to make sure they are getting 120volts {or 24volts if they are on a fire alarm/security system}.

If you have something like this: the odd colored wire interconnects all alarms together.

Over time very small dust particle will accumulate in the chamber and thus having an affect on the eye and set it off. Some computer air in the can and a few puffs of air will clean it out. Of course if the detector has a expiration date, change it out.[:)]

I did, but omitted that it may take more than once or twice, sorry there.
One more thing, if it is close to a ac/furnace filter intake, it may be an indicator of dirty filters. Been there, done that before. Many possible scenarios.

My fire alarm picks up Russian chatter. If you put your ear to your alarm and hear mariachi music please let me know.
