Not if it's a black lab who found a rotten deer carcass to roll in that afternoon.

Some will die in hot pursuit
    And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
    While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
    Coming down the mountain

In my case, a Healer and a very rotten carcass of a carp laying on the beach. Pyew! They do seem to take so much personal joy in rolling in that crap. [:D]

I am a guest in my bed. The dogs rule the bed. For two little schnauzers, they sure do take up a lot of room and snore like crazy. I love them to death[^] I bought them each a dog bed, but they prefer ours instead. The cat sleeps in the dogs bed. Oakie

Reminds me of an old joke about a woman, bicycle and schnauzer.

Oldest son's Aussie cross loves to stretch out next to my back when she's here.

    Really keeps me warm. [:D]

American Bulldane here. 120lbs, snores like a brown bear with sleep apnea.

Don't know how he can take up half a king size bed. No part of him can hang over the side. But he will sleep on couch like a contortionist.
Half of the lives they tell about me aren't true.

Our golden knows to stay off our bed, but that she is permitted on the childrens. She generally sleeps in our room on her bed or in the sun room in her crate with the door open.

The rules at my house are that if two people are in the bed no dogs. If one person is in the bed dogs are allowed up. This usually works OK but the dogs have learned to game the system. They will come over and wake me up so that I get out of bed sooner. Then they can lay down.

I'm not a fan of critters on furniture, I hate dog/cat hair all over my clothes. Therefore no dogs on furniture, and no cats period. Dog stays in her bed at dinnertime, no begging under the tables while we eat. (With 3 kids she gets plenty of clean-up nibbles after we're up).

I have no issues with other folks who let their dogs on their beds or couches, to each their own. [:)]
