If(and that would be a HUGE if!) I was going to buy something like that I would certainly travel to wherever the rifle is for a hands on inspection. It does warrant a little more than a point and click purchase!![;)][:D]

I suspect the guy is only using GunBroker as an advertising source to get it more attention. Serious collectors would do as you suggest, but outside of GB more than likely!

I would consider it, but he doesn't take PayPal. [:D]

    I agree!
I have a shiny new dime that says GB never sees a dime from the sale of this rifle.

    yep too bad
GB is just a advertiser for the rifle [V]
from the listing cut and pasted
Gun will be available for viewing at the Las Vegas Antique Arms Show. Pictures were taken via cellular phone, so they aren't the best way to showcase this exceptional firearm. I have numerous documented details including a 20 page R.L. Wilson letter, pertaining to this gun. Winchester factory letter one of the rarest ONE of ONE THOUSAND Winchesters know any questions call

Guy was upfront about taking the photos with a cheap cell phone.

Shipping?? Like buying a $350,000 Lamborghini. If you can afford to buy it why complain about a $3500 oil change?

If it sells, another Four or Five will be discovered.

Kinda like the Bugatti Atlantic Coupes - of the Eleven Recorded built, only Twenty-Seven examples remain with Provenance Documents!

I think I seen two of them out in the barn awhile back.
    I need to go check.

I'll make myself a note for tomorrow.

I was thinking about it but I would have to get Bubba to drill and tap for a Bushnell banner scope.
Sometimes Bubba uses sheet metal screws, stainless steel from Tru Value. Don't have to worry about broken taps.
