from an Outdoors auction page for Central IL on FB for making a smart * comment about a Remington 770.[:D]
Some guy had a Remington 770 for auction on there & the final bid was around $255 or something. Owner didn't want to sell & the buyer got all huffy.
I made a post at the end after one of the admin's had cleared the matter up.
Me- "Just count your blessings the auction didn't follow through:)"
"Why do you say that"
Me- "I had a 770:)"
"What's that mean?"
Me- "Good Night:)"
Then BAMM![:0] The ban hammer came down.[8D][:D][:D]
If I had prevented one person from buying one of those POS it was worth it.[^][:D][:D]
Edited for spelling.

Good luck with the rest of the gun working right.[V]
Only 1 good thing I could say for that 770 was the bullet did come out of the gun straight.

Tell me that wasn't epoxy holding the bolt handle on...[:0]
My only Remingtons are ancient rimfires.
It does not matter whether the gun was dropped. The handle should have been secured much differently than that when it was designed.
Concur: POS
Was the epoxy applied after the bolt snapped off the pressed-in stud, or was it there to keep the stud pressed in?
My only Remingtons are ancient rimfires.
They are soldered to the bolt.
It is supposed to be solder, but looks like gorilla glue to me!
Some of you may remember my 6 month fight with Remington to get the POS fixed.
The gun is long gone, including the gun they replaced it with.

I was going to say that it looks more like solder.
Nothing a little JB weld can't fix.
Not sure bout JB weld fix. I tried fixing a safety latch on my 1914 model 22 pump. Wouldn't hold.

Mix steel wool with the JB weld...increases its strength.

Or a good TIG welder.
Better yet. Leave those Walmart specials on the shelf and let Remington gnaw on the loss.
