I just bought another 50 lbs bag of oats before I even read this.

Mike

Many people have asked me to let them know - if I ever receive any warnings.

Well -
every week.
Someone somewhere has some reason -
to write to me and say -
"This is it!"

I don't pass many of them on.
Right now there are billboards up -
saying Christ is going to return -
next month.
I wouldn't worry about it -
if you aren't really ready to rapture -

Then there are all the earthquake expectations, the calamitous comet collisions, and whatever worries whoever.

There is probably lots of real stuff
to worry about.

This sort of being the month for Egypt - so do you remember the Biblical story of Joseph and the Pharaoh.
Delightful tale -
but to make a long story short -

Genesis
41:29
Behold, there come seven years of great plenty throughout all the land of
Egypt:

41:30
And there shall arise after them seven years of famine; and all the plenty shall be forgotten in the land of Egypt; and the famine shall consume the land;

41:31 And the plenty shall not be known in the land by reason of that famine following; for it shall be very grievous.

In the past -
the US has had ridiculous surpluses of grain.
When I was a boy during the depression - the government was going about burning it in the fields.

As a young man
I had a job to go out with the agriculture agent to gather samples - and there was so much there was no place to store it.

Pits were dug in the ground -
and clover was sewn
to make a ground cover.
The wheat was then dumped into the pits and covered with canvas.

Not good.
It doesn't last long that way.
Even in the giant elevators
it needs to be turned over and over.

I saw the number and size of elevators grow - a hundred fold - and had a job traveling about the country-side - twenty-five mile square - by twenty-five mile square during the harvest season.

Where to put it all?
It was put in gigantic school gymnasiums - into entire fleets of Liberty Ships - that were no longer used and that lined the shores.

Today our problem is trying to figure out where to put garbage - but then it was grain.

I became the chauffer and guard
for the Secretary of Agriculture
of the United States -
and stood with him in unusual places -
such as on the floor of the US Grain Exchange.

America had enough to feed the world -
and did.

I studied into economics -
and measurements -
and because I lived in the Wheat State - of the United States - these things interested me.

At one time there was a rule -
that the world needed to keep a 70 day supply.
That doesn't sound like much -
but with crops always coming on
in one part of the world -
or another it was thought sufficient.

But now it is much less.
A couple of years ago it was down to 57 days- and after spending hours of study on it - I have no idea what it is now.

I have heard it said -
that at one time it was US policy
to keep a three year supply -
in case of bad harvests
or some other calamitous event -
until new crops could be planted and harvested - with still another failure in between.

But -
no more.
Today it is all about money -
and interest -
the cost of money -
and reducing inventories and costs -
to what is called JIT (Just In Time) inventories.

I don't know how accurate it is -
but among the warnings that I get -
there was this one - this week:

"Last year the Whole of Russia was on fire which destroyed all their crop production. As a result Russia has stopped exporting grain."

"Two months ago the entire grain and food production of Queensland and Victoria in Australia was wiped out by floods."

"Now the entire Wheat production of Northern China is destroyed by a six month drought."

"Last week the entire corn and vegetable production of Mexico was wiped out by frost."

"Right now the Grain Exchanges have gone crazy. The Middle East have placed billions of dollars of order for grain to stop their population from Revolution."

"China is going to use its massive reserves to buy up all the grain in the World."

"And How does this affect you?"

Wheat, corn, rice.
The staples of life -
and there are food riots taking place
in numbers of places in the world.

and still I can't get a handle on it.
According to the official US sites
all is fine -

Don't bother with all these links -
because they are just for verification.

But from leaders in the industry -
not so good.

http://tinyurl.com/4b4vukk

The standard figure seem to be
lowest corn production in 15 years -
and this while the population has increased - (especially in corn consuming countries - like Mexico) along with the use of corn for Ethanol.

Whichever -
I have told you more than I know.

Many other things astir this week.

Sale of the US Stock Exchange - to Germany.
Sort of the whole lock, stock and barrel.

This follows the sale of the Canadian Stock Exchange - last week to London.

These things still to be finalized -
along with whatever is happening
with the US dollar
being replaced as the World Reserve Currency - and some countries no longer taking it for International Exchange.

Lots of riots and shifting ground
in a variety of countries -
but I am sure you follow the news.

Along with a lot of that stuff
about troop movements -
along with the shifting around of ships through the Suez and so forth.

Some of the warnings that I have gotten this week - have been curiouser and curiouser, Alice.

Back thirty years ago -
America was in suspense
about "Who Shot J.R."
If you are much under 50
you may not remember it.

TV networks paid big bucks -
for surveys like the Nielsen Ratings -
but then one executive discovered
that he could get instantaneous and accurate reporting by the Flush Report - as to how many were watching.

The Flush Report wasn't official -
just accurate.
In city after city -
the managers of the water supply
watched the program -
and when the commercials came on -
they switched on the pumps -
because people had jumped up and gone to the bathroom.

So -
the question was
how many millions of gallons were flushed -
in say Chicago?

All sorts of strange little indicators in the world.
Like trying to determine how many nuts -
the squirrels were storing for winter.

One popular one was
how many pizzas were being ordered
during the night from pizza parlors around the Pentagon.
It told how many people were pulling
extra midnight hours -
preparing for some military action.

The Pentagon learned about that too -
and opened pizza shops inside -
so people wouldn't have to order out.

This all leads up to NOTAM.
(Notice To Airmen).
Know about those -
because I was required to read them everyday -
as a control tower operator in the military.

Some strange ones for this weekend.
In fact - lots of them.
I counted over thirty.

Here is a sample:

"A new FDC NOTAM/TFR has been issued for San Francisco, CA and the San
Francisco Bay area beginning at 5:15p on Thursday, 2/17, until 9:00a PST on
Friday, 2/18. The TFR is issued for security purposes to cover VIP movement
in this area."

FDC - Flight Data Center
NOTAM - Notice To Airmen
TFR - Temporary Flight Restrictions
PST - Pacific Standard Time
VIP - Very Important Person

This is then followed by a statement something like:

o Area 1 (2/17, 5:15p - 6:30p PST)
(30nm radius from Latitude: 37?37'10"N, Longitude: 122?22'26"W)

The 30nm means 30 nautical miles -
the area in which unauthorized aircraft
are not to fly.

Now then -
when these things are issued -
the VIP is usually the President of the US
and the plane is Air Force One.

But - they can also be issued for artillery firing,
missile launches,
and other reasons.
But 30 VIPs moving on the weekend -
what does that mean?

Then of course -
there was the US -
two weeks ago -
for the first time in history -
simultaneously recalling ALL its ambassadors.
(And some other countries doing the same.)

"Oh, where have all the flower children gone?"

Certain high level military people
get alerts on actions about to take place -
and pass it on to their families.
"Alas Babylon".

In another story -
did the president dare warn his wife -
who was in New York City?
She might tell her hair dresser who was with her -
who might get on the phone to her mother.
Estimates are that
within an hour and a half -
a million people would know.

Curiouser and curiouser.
Anyway here are three more quick little curiosities this week.

One:

"a message on faux news last night that congress was requesting 2 weeks to
return home and meet with their constituents"

Two:

"I am a part-time dogwalker in the Potomac, Maryland area (a LOT of
elites/wealthy, etc. there). This morning ALONE I had 32 messages on my
voice-mail. THIRTY-TWO! These are from the wealthiest elites in the area."

"The messages were all eerily similar, 'Something has come up/have to go out
of town immediately/family emergency/can't take their dog with them,
etc....' I have never had more than two or three requests a day."

Three:

"...said all of a sudden she had to get a bunch of travel plans ready for
them out of the blue. Said they leaving Friday and going to China."

So do PLEASE LOOK AT THIS NEXT LINK.
You can maybe imagine something -
and that after all -
the Chinese aren't crazy.

Lots more to talk about -
like radio -
but just no space.

Peace and love,
