Posting this old story cause I never heard what became of the case. Two years before this went down I sold two HK91 Magazines to Jack Foote when he contacted me through a news group sales add.

Second border militia leader arrested by FBI
By Ignacio Ibarra
ARIZONA DAILY STAR
The leader of a second border militia was arrested by the FBI this
week, and the man arrested last week will remain in federal custody
because he's considered a threat to public safety, officials said.
Ranch Rescue founder Jack Foote was arrested by the FBI in Sierra
Vista Monday afternoon.
FBI officials declined to discuss Foote's arrest, referring calls to
the agency's Phoenix spokeswoman, Susan Herskovits. Early efforts to
reach Herskovits about the case were unsuccessful.
On Wednesday a federal judge ordered that Arizona Guard leader Casey
James Nethercott remain in detention to ensure the safety of the
community.
Magistrate Jaqueline Marshall rejected arguments from Nethercott
attorney Jason M. Hannan that federal agents, not Nethercott,
instigated an Aug. 31 confrontation at Nethercott's ranch that led
to his Sept. 15 arrest.
The FBI's case agent, Bryan Witt, said he'd watched on a remote
Border Patrol camera as Nethercott handled and fired a weapon at the
Ranch Rescue-Arizona Guard headquarters west of Douglas, just hours
before he was arrested Sept. 15.
Nethercott was arrested at about 11 that night as he and a companion
returned to his van in a Safeway parking lot, said Witt.
According to testimony, Nethercott's companion, Kalen Riddle, 22,
moved his hands toward his waist as arresting agents approached and
was shot twice. Witt said Nethercott ignored agents and continued
moving toward his van, possibly throwing something at agents who
arrested him.
After the arrest, agents found two loaded handguns in the passenger
compartment of Nethercott's van.
The next day, a search of Nethercott's ranch, headquarters of his
Arizona Guard militia, yielded 15 .308 caliber assault rifles,
several handguns, several thousand rounds of ammunition, smoke
grenades, flares, and M-80 type explosives (large, powerful
firecrackers), Witt said.
Foote was booked into the Cochise County Jail Monday afternoon on a
charge of illegal possession of a firearm by a person convicted of
misdemeanor domestic violence and transferred to a federal detention
in Tucson on Tuesday.
He was scheduled to appear at a detention hearing in federal court
on Thursday.
