No, although we are in the process of rescuing an American BullDog.

We have a visit with him tomorrow.

No, but I imagine that commercial is a goldmine for them. Question is, is the money going to a real cause or just shuffled into someones pocket.

No.....But I have donated time and money to local shelters over the years. This makes far more sense to me.

money or food goes to the local shelter. I give them money and food and about every 10 years they "give" me a family member.

LOL,,I got removed from a town/county meeting a few months back over this type thing and the ASPCA. I was getting loud and talking out of turn but I was determined to prove a point, A few years back they lobbied and campaigned for a county lease law on all dogs, somehow they got it passed, now they are complaining about how dogs are mistreated because they are kept in pens or chains all day long and was asking for donations to help these dogs. I stood up right in the middle of the meeting and said "if you had not pushed these stupid leash laws we now have out in the country,,you would not have dogs in pens and chained,,you caused the problem,,you can pay to fix it". SEVERAL NOT SO NICE WORDS WERE SPOKEN BETWEEN US AND i WAS ASKED TO LEAVE,,BUT THEY DID NOT GET THE MONEY

What gets me is when they run that commercial and then the very next one, Is a commercial asking for money for the starving kids in Africa, for the exact same amount. What about the kids in this country that are starving to death[?] Lets feed OUR children first.

Yes, those animal commercials tug at my heart, but I just feel that the money goes into to many other pockets and not what it was intended for.

This is real and it's free.

    Check it on Snopes.

This is one of the reasons my luck and Karma is so stellar and you never hear me begging or asking for prayers.

No but I donate and help fund raise for our local shelter. Agree with others that most of my money goes towards Thor ...

I cook over 100 gallons of chili a year, every year, to raise money for the Coffeyville Friends of Animals, to help feed the unwanted ones, and give them a little more time. Don't believe much in anything that pays administrators. Might be ok, but I want all of my money, and time, to go exactly where I intend it to go.

Next chili sale is in Feb. Come on down!

No, but we do donate blankets, beds, food, treats, and toys to two municipal Animal Welfare departments where we have adopted pets. Animal Humane is building a multi-million dollar facility, while the city departments are begging. The city departments take them all, they don't cherry pick like Humane.

I donate to three different rescue groups run by volunteers, I feel every dollar is used to benefit the animals.

I guess we have leash laws here. If we do I pay no attention my two dogs are under control and stay within my boundaries plus refuse to by a county dog license

When they decide to license cats I might think differently, cats run at large and cause more damage and kill more wild life than dogs by far.

Have a small pond out back during warm weather I have a number of Mallards during the day. When my dogs get close them on the banks the Ducks and Dogs look at each other, that's it. But when I hear the alarm noise from the Mallards and all are in the pond I first look for a hawk, if no Hawk around sure enough when looking closely will see a cat lurking somewhere in the surrounding brush
