i recently got a saw bipod, and i have a 10/22 with a bull barrel on there that is .920 D. the bipod has a 1.25 D what would be a good filler i want something i can just throw on there so i can easily slide it off and on. any ideas on how i could put it together rather simply?

I'd just make a split bushing out of some thick plastic.

you won't be able to figure it out on your own.
send me a photo of what you have now and I'll build you one exactly like it.

Does your ruger have a front sling swivel stud?
Where you would attach a sling?

    photo2.jpg

thats the gun now, not my bipod its a friends

the barrel on there now is a .920 fluted bull barrel

and heres what i am wanting to put on it

    photo1xaf.jpg

    photo2wy.jpg

    photo4vr.jpg

the inside reading of the bipod is 1.25

so im looking for something with a diameter of roughly .340 or 8.6mm or 11/32 thick

and yes it does have a sling stud but why spend 40 on a bipod when i can spend maybe 10 and slide this on there

Your friend has a harris or perhaps a blackhawk version of a sling post mounted bipod.

They are $50-75 new. Depends on the length of legs.

    Thats what you really need.

    Sell/give away what you have.

Buy new or used, but you're going to spend $50 in time and energy jacking what you have into what you want it to be. Just my 2cents.

The harris will last you a lifetime. As you know, you can move from one rifle to another. 22 to 308 to AR to AK. no problem (well you'll need an adapter for the AR) but its a permanent addition to your collection.

There shold be a lot more screw left on the harris. I haven't encounterd a swivel it couldn't grip. Turn the wheel some more.
