Johnny Cash and June Carter Cash

Watched "Walk the Line" last night which inspired me to read the book today about the life of June Carter Cash, written by her son. I did not realize how addicted Johnny Cash was his whole life to prescription meds. Many of the kids, Roseann, Carlene and son John also fought their own battles with addiction. I believe June's daughter, Roseann, overdosed and died in a squallid, filthy trailer after the death of her mother. Johnny Cash could be a real mean, nasty buzzard when he was on drugs but thru all of that, he truly loved June and when she died in 2003, he lost all will to live and died four months later. The Carter-Cash family had everything money could buy, but there was an awful lot of misery in their lives. Sad.

money can't buy happiness
but not having to work for someone-else might if I could still provide for my family
Didnt he have a hit song after she died[?]
im not sure about after she died but he re did the song "Hurt" go check it out its an amazing song, it was originally wrote by Trent Reznor by Nine inch nails but he sings it so amazingly and really gives it an eerie quality because of his voice he just sounds so deep.
