I was wondering if this gun was any good. My daughters friend wants to trade it for a 270 or a 30-06 and i have 2 each but i dont have a 243.

In 97% shape what is the gun worth. Thanks for the info. David

The Mark X, in my experience, is a great rifle. I've had several over the years, and they were all plenty accurate. $400-$450 wouldn't be out of line, IMO.

The Mark X imported by Interarms was the commercial Yugo M98 sporting rifle. Good, solid, but not fancy. Never heard the name Alexander associated with the Mark X.

standard Mauser action that has been imported by any number of companies under their own name. It is a mauser 98 design, with better fit/finish than military rifles. The big question is,..what rifle are you looking to trade for it?

And then these same rifles were imported by Charles Daly, and Remington, and are now being brought in by Century.

Great little guns w/ basic Mauser actions. They now come in left and right handed, and even have a 762x39 version. From the various pics I've seen of the current imports on the auction side, they have some nice wood too... nicer than you'd expect on a $500 rifle.
