1st boat trip, made it back

Made the first trip, allot of it was about 30 miles offshore. Rode through a pretty rough storm, 15 foot seas, for a couple days. Tosses an 86 foot light boat around pretty good, didn't eat for a day and half. The money is good, offshore pay is time and a half... The misses ain't thrilled about me being gone so long though.

Done that,and once was enough for me in a 23' with 10' seas. As long as the boat was moving it wasn't too bad.

get scopalamine patches if the sea sickness bothers you.

put it on the night before you leave. you probably wont have much in teh way of trouble at all.

i get terribly sea sick, but not on scopalamine. made it through the worst sailing in the world(cape horn) and didnt lose my lunch once.

Can you still get patches? They told me they stopped making them about 10 years ago when I asked. I had offshore in my ops territory for almost 16 years. Got sick once when I had a head cold. I never, ever want to repeat that....[xx(]

One trip west off the Aleutians on the Simon S.Buckner, in a winter storm cured me of any desire to do blue water again.
I'll leave porpoising to the porpoises.
