Federal officials say that absentee ballots being sent to U.S. military serving in Afghanistan may have been burned in a plane crash.

A top official in the Federal Voting Assistance Program this week notified election officials across the nation that a transport plane crashed at Shindad Air Base on Oct. 19.

How convenient, Ballots destroyed in a plane crash just before the election and at just a short enough time to not send replacements

Looks to me that a solution would be to have polls set up in theater...
And the tallied results simply communicated back... Just like any singular sate does stateside.

Just a glitch... Narry a problem.

The current gub'ment wants everyone to think that "Nothing can Be Done Now..."

What about using one of those presidential Jets to ferry the replacement ballots in and then back... ?

These nimrods in DC can't figure out a simple dilemma... ????? Go figure that one... [:(!]

I'm deployed in Afghanistan right now. The military is really working hard to "get out the vote" we even get e-mails oh how to do it. Most of us have received ballets through the mail. I signed up for an e-mail ballot prior to deployment and got that many weeks ago. Were some lost in the crash, possibly, but if a soldier wants to vote, he/she has been encouraged by the military for months.
