Thanks to a friend in Ft Collins who is cleaning out his storage, I now own two, a three-string and a four-string. He also gave me a little acoustic (AG-15?) monitor and a Peavy Micro-Bass amp.
MahGAWD are these things fun! My cheap little, Chinese-made Squire Strat now keeps good company with my new (to me) Martin D-15 Mahogany (thanks to the same friend) and my trusty old beater Yamaha which just got re-habbed with a little pizeo pickup.
I've spent days watching Justin Johnson videos and slogging my way through the intricacies of the slide guitar.
Christmas came early to the Colonel!

sounds like Santa was good to you
I always wanted to learn to play but just never seemed to have enough will power / determination to really give it a good try [:(]
growing up I remember some of the old timers who were self taught for the most part playing , especially on the weekends with a little liquid encouragement [^]
Could you post a picture for us all. I have never seen one myself, only heard of them. It would be cool to see yours.[^] Oakie
I remember seeing them as a kid but not in many years.
