Surveillance shows teens stealing weapons from Orlando gun show
you get 3 guesses 1st one does not count [:(!]

Surveillance video obtained by WFTV shows more than a dozen people stealing weapons from a gun show at the Central Florida Fairgrounds in Orange County over the Fourth of July weekend.

According to Orlando police, nearly 20 guns were taken from one of the gun show booths after the show closed for the day on July 6.

Police said the weapons include handguns and rifles, and those guns are still on the streets.

WFTV's Kathi Belich learned the group of burglars got into the building through a door on the east end of the main building by smashing the glass after cutting through the chains locking the gate.

Police said about 12 young men raced in, grabbed the guns and fled. They said the burglars were in the building for about 32 seconds.

Belich was told that one of the Florida Highway Patrol officers working security off duty heard glass shattering on the property. The officer reportedly arrived at the targeted booth a few minutes after the burglars were gone.

Some of those believed to have been involved in the theft may have been caught roaming the fairgrounds property in recent months and banned from returning to the property.

Background checks would have prevented this and kept the guns out of hands of criminals.

Sounds like he really didn't WANT to get there while the perps were still on the scene. Well planned scenario from the anti-gunners.

They were gone for about 6 min. before the cop showed up....[V]
With that amount of guns, you'd think they could afford some security.ARMED security!

    "He is retirement age

Be careful how you use those words. I'm "retirement age" plus and it would have to be one heck of a big building to take me 6 minutes to respond. Like I said before, the guy DIDN'T WANT TO BE THERE WHILE THE PERPS WERE STILL IN THE AREA.

Don't go to the Orlando show, do not like the promoter and guess this is another reason not to as there should be multiple people staying inside armed.

I do the Melbourne Show 50+ miles east of this and they have over night guards locked in. I have never heard of anyone getting in

This was poor security by the promoter and while the "teens" have no right to steal it don't take a lot of brains to not let the bananas hang so low for them to grab.

They had to have an idea security was lax and that is on the promoter

This show has two buildings for the dealers. He was probably in the back building when they hit the front building. I believe that they hit the dealer " Shoot Straight " from the looks of the dealer tables and location. He is a huge dealer with 4 or 5 stores. He is the biggest dealer at this show. Yes, they need more security.
