Some folks here in NC were attacked by a wild hog. This happened in Supply, NC which is over by the coast just NW of Oak Island.

C&P
A woman was chased by a wild hog early Saturday morning at her home off of Stanley Road in Supply.
Brenda Powell and her husband thought they saw a pig behind their home, but when they went to take a close look, they realized it was a 200 to 300 pound hog-foaming at the mouth.
"I told my husband, that's no pig, that's a wild hog," said Powell.
The animal charged after Powell, sending her running into the house to call 9-1-1.
"We had no idea what to do," said Powell. "We called animal control and they said they had nothing to do with it."
A Brunswick County deputy responded to the call. When he arrived at the home, officials say the hog became aggressive and charged after him, as well. The deputy then shot the hog twice, killing it.
I wonder what the Hog was acting so aggressive towards humans. I know they will attack but normally they try to run first.

Those things are dangerous....they should be banned!
First a background check. Then maybe see if it was an Assault Hog.

It was obviously a high capacity hog.
Well, they shouldn't have squealed on him.
Race has got to enter into this event somewhere dangit!
If the people that were attacked were black would the hog be racist?

Was it an albino or was there a shovel in the area?

I bet that old white gal was in heat!...and that hog smelled her...natural order of things...[:o)]
If it was foaming at the mouth, as reported, the I'd be willing to bet it was rabid.
That's my thoughts as well.

There's a long list of diseases hogs are known to carry, ranging from anthrax to tuberculosis, but I've never even heard of one with rabies.
Clinically speaking it's possible, but between the nature of that virus and hog's behavioral habits it's way beyond unlikely for them to contract it.

Lone Wolf Hog.
True.
When they decline to the point food is too fast then slow stuff becomes palatable.
Kids, dogs, etc.
Gatorland zoo in Florida in the 70's had a crock with one front foot missing.
It had been in the wild and lost a foot in a trap.
Well....toddlers and pets were on the menu.
Enter famous gator tracker and following MIA.
Gator double backed on the tracker and ate him.
Old change tarnished on his huge back at the zoo.
What exactly does that mean Dennis? Actually, what does the last paragraph mean?[:I]
