Gunsmith question

Is the melting temperature of the solder used on the barrels on an early model Savage model 24 higher that the temperature of the hot blueing solutions used today?

when drilling and tapping for scope mounts, do the holes go all the way through the reciever or stop short? Thanks.

I have looked at all of my Anschutz guns, and I can't for the life of me see how to use the trigger, stock, and bolt in a Ruger semi-auto.
Anyone here been able to do it??

Who makes the best gunsmith kit? I am looking for a kit for a friend of mine(he tinkers with guns)This would be a kit for disassemble and cleaning etc...[:)]

Been buying from Brownells for many years and never a problem. Got even luckier at an estate sale with 2 complete gunsmith bit and holder sets for $5 per. These were the brown plastic cases with like 20 bits per case. Talk about stealing a deal [:D]
