Any newer Ford mechanics on here -wiring question?

I know, I haven't been on here in a long time so shame on me to post a needy question, especially about a Ford. [:D] I have spent since 11am on this and now the last 3 hours trying to find this answer.

My wife's 2013 Lincoln MKX got visited by a rodent last night and it chewed into the wires of the middle ECM harnesses (EWF4 is the ECM number). I cut it back and soldered a piece of wire between the open ends on all of the wires with a match. However, After repairing 9 wires (18 junctions) in this fashion, I am left with 4 wires of two different colors and I am at a loss how to tell which pair of wires go together.

I have 2 brown wires and 2 Orange/Gray (could be Orange/tan) on each side. With the key off, nothing has any voltage. With the key in the accessory position, one brown wire is 12v coming UP towards the ECM and the other brown wire has some low voltage in the 4-7 volt area coming FROM the ECM. I am leery to connect anything and fry the ECM. If we try to start the vehicle with it connected as it sits right now, it will crank basically one revolution and stop. Following the wire down to the engine, it looks like it could control the injectors, coils, probably a sensor or two. It looks to be the main engine ECM connector thus likely why it isn't starting.

The irony to this is, this morning, I was going to use her vehicle to go to town to get a part for my older Chevy truck. Before this week is over I may be driving my '83 Hurst/Olds. [:D]

Rodents got my van harness and I started it and it ran ragged. That bit of running fouled out the ecu.

Do not run it or such until you fix it up. A wiring diagram may be borrowed at the ford dealer.

Thank you Mag. I hope we haven't already damaged it as I tried to start it several times before I found the damage.

The buggers have gotten into my truck probably 6 times over that many years and they keep chewing the same area but thankfully it is just the windshield washer wiring and pump hose and horn once.

Call your insurance company. That should be a covered item.

The haynes manuals that they sell at Autozone and Advance Auto usually have schematics in the back pages. You have to buy them, they won't let you look at them. They're wrapped in plastic anyway. But good luck with that because if you're problem is with some sort of option, it may not show up in them. I had a mouse build a nest in the blower fan cage of one of our cars. I noticed a really low (deep) sound when it was on. I pulled the blower motor and there it was.a decent sized nest made out of fast food napkins and firewall insulation. I kept a trap set for a while but only caught one.
