Forgemonkey had a very good post about AMMO confiscated from a shooting team That asked more questions than it answered . What happens to all the countries that bring their shooters Rifle / Pistols / Shotguns and ammo for each to both summer and winter OLYMPIC games . & what is different in that case from the case of this teams ammo being confiscated I have never shot in a match in MARYLAND
or NEW JERSEY what do visiting marksmanship teams do with both guns and ammo [?]

Lots of them train here in the US because they cannot have the type gun they use in the sport in their home country.

As far as the ammo is concerned I believe they have to all use the same ammo for the 22lr events.

Thanks every one seems like the team going to Camp perry needed to fill out that form 6.edit Hello Sam06 I don't know about the summer games But the Russian Team use to kick everyone butt on winter ski/shooting events Mostly because there ammo out preformed every one else in the world at cold TEMPS There was even a case of trying to smuggle some out of Russia

I have a couple of bricks of Russian made JUNIOR 22LR with brass cases I could sell them.

It's allegedly the same ammo they used to kick everyone's butt at the Olympics sometime in the 80's.
