What was the top secret info

that Trump was supposed to have given the Russians? If he told them, then why don't they also let us know? It should no longer be much of a secret.

Or is it just a secret that the American public cannot be trusted with.

Does anyone have any idea what it was supposed to be about? Tom

I'm taking a big chance posting this, but....you deserve to know:

    https://www.theguardian.com/world/2017/mar/26/plot-explosives-ipad-us-uk-laptop-ban

Even though this appeared in the media around the world, no one believes that the Russians were aware of it.

The info was about new hipo explosive small enough to be concealed in laptops and thin/light devices. The info was developed by Israel spies. Pres mentioned city, but not nationality of source (Israel).

President Trump, can, on his own, reveal anything He chooses (Declassify info).

It was bad form, revealing something given over by an ally without permission, but neither unprecedented, nor unlawful. Israel has subsequently declared "No Harm, No Foul", something the chattering MSM Chooses to ignore whilst stirring the dust into a Tornado.

Something the MSM Notably did not do when Slick Willy sold Five Axis Milling Programs and Machinery used to make our Sub's Screws Quiet, to the Chinese. Also ignored the Sale of LORAL missile guidance tech to Soviets/Chinese.

But aren't dogs supposed to find stuff like that now or is the new explosive supposed to be dog proof?
Or how about just having everyone with a lap top just turn it on and log on. Or can TSA not figure that out? Tom

I think the dogs key on nitrates, but there are lesser known or used explosives that do not use nitrates. Not enough of a chemist to say what I think I know here - this site has an unusually high concentration of unusually gifted/knowledgeable members! I miss Kristov! ZipperZap, and others.

    BINGO!!

The lying slimy DEMOCRATs in the media need to be clued in on the powers of the executive branch. Not only is the POTUS the arbiter of foreign policy, the POTUS is the classifying/declassifying authority for national security.

Again the DEMOCRATs are creating a false narrative and outright deceiving the people. Only fools and DEMOCRATs believe anything they utter.

Truman told Stalin about the bomb. He was surprised Stalin was not impressed. Stalin already knew about it. Probably before Truman.
Roosevelt never informed him about the program.
What I was going to say is, the Rooskies know everything we consider secret already, not because they are so good at espionage, but because our own people keep them informed anyhow.

It must have been divulging the information about the StuxNet virus...No...Wait...that was Obama.

Or was it when documents about that operation were leaked to the press...Sorry...that was Gen. James Cartwright...and Obama pardoned him.

Maybe it was when Seal Team 6 was outed as the group that killed Bin Laden...No...that was Leon Panetta.

Could it be when the SEAL Team 6 identities were exposed...Nope...that was Plugs Biden.

I can't wait to see what the press outrage over these repeated incidents will be...when they finally get around to noticing.

Face it folks. The media and the leftists are one and the same. They are both branches of the political opposition. When the fun starts, find a reporter and issue a 'stern warning'.

Yep. It was so hushedy hush that it'd been reported about for months earlier. I guess it was news that the source of the intel was Israel, but they don't seem too upset about that.

    Top Secret? WHAT top secret?

Trump is alleged to have discussed classified information with the Russian ambassador. There are many levels of classification. Information such as "laptops might contain bombs" is likely to be no higher than Confidential, which is pretty mild.

The media, in its frothing-mouthed eagerness to berate Trump, called it "highly" classified. Even they haven't claimed it was secret, much less top secret.

On this forum, though, we make moles into malignant melanoma.

Rocky, I have heard MANY times on the news referring to TOP SECRET info that Trump compromised. I seriously doubt that many news experts have any inkling what TS really means. But since it involved Trump, it had to be TS.

I can't cite a particular site off top of my head but I will make a note next I hear it and let you know the particular source.

I, for one, would like to know exactly what type of classified info that is in question. Tom

All I've heard is "highly classified" but you may have listened to more of the bobbleheads than I have. If they've bandied TS about, I stand corrected.

Or I'll rather shift the exaggeration charge from you to them - and beg your forgiveness.

The truth of the matter is we don't know, either does the media. The media is rabidly attacking anything trump.

Did you notice the Yahoo fawning fluff piece about Moochelle Obummers off the shoulder top and white pants while on the same page was a slam piece on Ivanka Trump's wearing of a skull cap in Jerusalem.

The media sucks, there is NO EVIDENCE of anything, it has been and continues to be media slime doing what slime does.

Media: That's top secret intel!!! Bad!
Unknown source: It came from Israel.

OK, Riddle me this: If only Trump and the Russians were at the meeting, how in heck is anyone supposed to know what was said? He gave the Russians classified info and they immediately run to the press and report it?

For the life of me I just don't see it. Does the FBI have the prez office bugged? Maybe when the Russians called home NSA picked it up?

Maybe Trump needs to have an outside agency do a (secret)bug sweep of his office? Tom

A bit of World Leader History:

    Then some conjecture.....

During the World War there were three Allied Leaders Conferences.

FDR, Winston Churchill, and commie Josef Stalin.

Do you think they met in secret places to
    a) eat food
    b) drink
    c) smoke
    d) Share Secrets ?

It seems to me that the US and Russia SHOULD be sharing intel about ISIS and other raghead thugs. The democrats and the media have been promoting tension between the US and Russia since the end of WWII. Did you ever notice that most of the wars the US has been in have been started when the democrats were in the white house?
