I just like to say WOO HOO!! But we did just get a large collection on consignment. Nice old Smith & Wessons, a Ruger 44 carbine, older Walther pistols, Colt Single actions, Marlin lever guns. I haven't had a chance to look at everything closely but it's some good stuff. Gotta get it all logged in and listed on the auction side.

It seems the water is slowly backing up at least in the front yard. A neighbor arrived by John boat around noon bringing gas water and canned food. It was kinda funny in that he started calling my name about a hundred yards away and when he docked he told me he didn?t want me to mistake him for a looter and shoot him cause he knew I would be watching the neighborhood.
Two more John boats arrived around 3:30 with lineman from Four County Electric Coop who after looking around said I might have power tonight WOO HOO!!! Seven days without a shower and AC is enough for this fat boy.
I am much luckier so far than many folks around here who have several feet of water inside their homes or even higher.

My No Dak Spud AKM receiver came in today!!! Now I need to see if I can locate all of the other parts for it, they're in my house somewhere. I also need to pick up some paint or bake-on type finish for it.

I am doing some smalls of pork spare ribs with Campbells slow Cooker Hawaiian pork marinade and spices in a bag...

Pineapple ring slices and some javilina bacon and some quick grilled purple and green heirloom tomato chunks...

All together in a slow cooker with some Jamaican red stripe beer and some pineapple fanta added...

Maybe some Yukon gold fingerling potatoes in the mix...

At least that's what I am making for Makaila and her niece and Amy for dinner...

Have a few kings Hawaiian rolls to get toasted and consumed - used to sop things up and gather the leavings...

Simple fried pink lady apple slices with a bit of cinnamon and a dab of bryers Dutch vanilla ice cream for dessert...

Some strong limeade with natural cane sugar and a hint of papaya over crushed ice...

Got some great smalls weight and size of the pork spare ribs on sale.

    Mike

    That sounds awesome Mike.

I'm copying it to my recipe files.

Thank you Brother. As always, you are in my thoughts and prayers.

Well, if it isn't little Mary Sunshine.

I'm okay with eating pets. If they taste good, and are not mine.

    Mike,

I've never done ribs in a crock pot / Slow cooker. The idea intrigues me.

I am a huge crock pot cooker proponent. I will have to try that.

I do like the crispy aspect of oven baked ribs however.

Maybe I can combine both aspects??

As I am sure you are aware, the sugars in a sweet style sauce lend themselves well to crisping.

Good deal! Always good to stock up. My wife came home today with two full spiral cut hams and 20+ lbs of pork chops. Safeway had them both for 99? per lb.

I will have to vacuum pack the chops tomorrow into 3 or 4 packs.

People ask why I have two big freezers. Two words:

    My wife. [^]
