I ever tell you guys about the FAIR at the DUMP?

In our area it was a HUGE battle to keep the dump away..no...no....no....we didn't want it here. So, they found an area that would let them put a dump.....Walker County...that area gets a pretty bad rap, but if I could take you guys through "the camps" you would see why everyone is terrified of that place.
Well....my Granny lived in a better part of the town....Dora....along with my aunt and her kids. The dump we had prevented from coming to our area was welcomed in Walker County. So, after some time passed they were ready to open the dump. It was going to be a huge celebration.
My Granny wanted me to come up and bring the kids to the fair at the opening of the dump. I just......could NOT wrap my head around a "Fair at a dump" so this event was a MUST ATTEND!!!
I got up there and realized they had built a big park area with new trees and nice grass.....there were bathrooms and lots of entertainment scattered around. I was surprised to see it was actually kind of nice.
THEN......I found the tent with the cotton candy!!! O.....M.....G..... This was the most miserable person in the entire South. The wind had picked up...it was REALLY gusty. So the tent was just FULL of whisps of fluffy clouds. It was hanging off the walls....on the roof....dripping down the poles....every time the wind would get going BIG tufts of cotton candy would escape out into the air like a balloon. I was laughing myself silly. The gal working the tent looked like a big monster just COVERED in that mess. She had a scowel that showed how "done" she was too.
I think about that gal at the dump from time to time.....I still chuckle!!!
