Last rainfall here was on June 26th. 46 days with no precipitation. We finally got a good dousing yesterday afternoon and showers through the night. Unfortunately we also got some lightning with it that started 30+ new fires. Hopefully there was enough rain to keep them knocked down so the initial attack firefighters can keep the lid on 'em.

Hope you can get some more rain to help extinguish those fires!

We've had a cooler and wetter than normal August here in East Texas. I was able to finish mowing yesterday before we got .7 inches. We've had another 1.5 inches so far today. So far during the month of August, we've had 6.9 inches of rain!

If you can't feel the music; it's only pink noise!

So far, our August total is a whopping .09" One more downpour and it might creep up to a tenth of an inch!
    I may be a bit crazy - but I didn't drive myself.

It rained here off and on for several hours today. Started at 3 AM. From about 8 AM to 11 AM it rained pretty steady. Not hard, but not a drizzle either.

I sat on the patio drinking my coffee and smelling the air. I love that smell.
