This is in a Kentucky farmhouse. It looks like it floats, attached only to floor, wall, and 2nd floor landing. Is there a specific architectural name for this type of staircase? Thanks for helping me possibly "make points". [:D]

When the Loretta Staircase was first built, it didn't even have the handrail. That must have been a butt clenching climb.
It is a beautiful piece of Master Craftsmanship.
