Looks like L.A. in the smog. Even the hills that are close by you cannot see. All from a fire in Canada. Eyes are really starting to burn.[xx(]

Wildfires. Anyone live where you get a lot of smoke? Every summer we're socked in at some point and its bad this year.

You cannot smell it except early in the Morning. But its thick enough its almost sunset by how dark its getting.

Then Had an Eye appointment today. They put that stuff in my eyes and I cannot get them to stop watering and Burning. Its not the stuff but the smoke.

Good grief, David. No wonder you are grumpy! That looks like a potential killer for someone with asthma or other lung disorders.

It's like that all over the West. It's been a horrendous summer for wildfires. There are something like 150 burning right now, but only the one in Los Angeles gets any news coverage (naturally).

I can usually see the islands in Great Salt Lake from my deck, but not yesterday. Just a grey/brown blanket out there. I can see a tinge of it against trees only 100 yards away, it's so thick.

We're pretty socked in here (NE Oregon) too. Burning eyes and scratchy throat have become the norm. Sure would be nice to get some good soaking rains to tamp these fires down.

That reading was in town, The just showed another like that. The problem is it seems almost clear in town compared to what its like at home. Just a thick fog of smoke.

The smoke was thick enough this morning you could see it flowing as though the fire was the next door neighbor burning leaves, rather than a fire 50 miles away.
