You will say yes mam when your 5 year old grand baby wants to fix your hair. It took her almost an hour. I thought i was going to die when she made the comment my hair was not knotty.[:)]

Another favorite moment - Your little sweetie pie is down on the carpet with her toy kitchen set. She needs you to play Tea Party. Time to man up, get down there and sip imaginary tea out of a Strawberry Shortcake Tea Set, with your pinkie out and everything.

Sometimes she wants you to work her teddy bear drinking tea, and speak in a little cartoon voice while sort of hiding behind the toy.

You do it, cuz yer Her Daddy, or Grand Daddy, as the case maybe.

It's what guys do and the women peek around the corner and smirk at us for doing!

My wife and I have not been able to have kids but we have lots of nieces and nephews. I've never been good at playing with really young kids. Does something change when you have your own?

When my kids were small every time we had a good rain I would grab them and go outside and sit in a mud puddle and play. I have played Barbie on numerous occasions. And with the boy we played cops and robber and cowboys and Indians. Enjoy them when they are young because they go from wanting a go cart to 69 dodge chargers pretty fast.[:)][:)][:)]

You know how, before you fell in love, you thought that the way people behaved when in love was just silly and goofy? Until it happens to you? Then all of a sudden it is ok and acceptable, and now you understand and you don't give a rip about what others think? It's kind of like that with kids. My own kids (and grandson) are awesome and cute, but everyone else's kids are homely and bratty. So, yes, something does change inside of you as your heart opens up to that little person who acts only too much like you do.

And, while my wife might- ok, does- look around the corner and smirk, she loves me all the more for it.

I've spent a lot of time on the floor playing with my Granddaughters. We play restaurant, cards, dominoes, dolls, hair salon, plane ride, tickle fest, and other assorted games. My only regret is when I try to get my old butt up off the floor, and then try to walk. Damn it sucks getting old. [:0][:(]

My sister still gives me grief about the time I was watching my niece, and her 4 year old self declared we were going to have a tea party. My sister walked in and laughed herself silly.

I had done the only thing possible when a Tea Party is declared:

Point the Pinky and Pass the Crumpets. [:I][:X]
