Call my good Friend APD Sgt. Arron Whitt and say hello from Bruce. He lives off of O'Malley on Liberty Rd. When you get to Anchor Point heading to Homer Say hi to my best friends Ron and Carol Rich on the Old Sterling Highway. Grab my salmon gill net from Ron I can use it here in Ohio... [:D]

If you go to Fairbanks have your son take you to Skinney Dick's Halfway Inn.

He should know where it is.

Yep. They have a receeding glacia to can touch and view. Chilkoot Charlies is a fun bar to hit, sawdust floor, cold beer, and lots of eye candy.

If you're driving to Fairbanks then save some time and go to Denali National Park. If you want some rowdier fun there is the Great Alaskan Bush Company in Anchorage[}:)][:D] Wild West Guns is neat--there are a lot of good gun shops up there.

Most of the time the Alaska Airlines web site has the best deals on flights and lodging. Might also google B&B in Anch. Have a good trip, Swanie

Keep in mind, Anchorage to Fairbanks is an 8 hour drive or maybe more. Denali Park is about halfway between. Look around Talkeetna, and at the mouth of the park. You can't drive into the park. The only way in and out is on their buses, and it takes all day to go in to the Lodge and back out. A good option depending on weather is to bus in and fly out. You can make arrangements in Talkeetna.

The drive from Anchorage to Seward is great. You can get a charter there for halibut and salmon.
