"more stricter fireworks laws." She thinks safety classes should be required. If the "goof" had read the warnings he would be alive, but now it all is making sense. Next she will want a law that requires a fire proof helmet for launching fireworks off ones head.[xx(]

As one saying goes, You can't fix stupid.

I think there should be an IQ test before people are allowed to breed.

I bet his Mom would have flunked and saved a lot of cleanup.

obliterated him...witnesses said it detonated and there was nothing left of him.

"There was no rushing him to the hospital. There was no Devon left when I got there," said 25-year-old Cody Staples, who called it an accident.

    I disagree.

    You absolutely can fix stupid.

Darwin Award winners prove this fact routinely.

Um... One "proof" per awardee ...

I am not sure that is 'fixing' stupid, as much as it is eliminating it.

But why quibble? Gene pool is cleaner one way or the other.

I offered a "plan" about that very thing many years ago.
My proposal said the 2 people marrying must a total IQ of 175.
So one smart one can marry a dummy, 2 almost normal can marry, but never 2 under 88 points each.

But Dr. Josef Mengele rejected my plan.

Anyone who sets off a few of those, then decides its a good idea to light one off the top of their head, deserves what they get.

I understand Babun's plan, & see the appeal.

But, you don't have to be married to have a baby. I know a woman whose IQ is likely close to 60; she lives with her children, none of whom is any closer to normal than she is. (Of course, they get the full package of disability/welfare payments.)

The parent with the greatest mental deficit usually determines the limits of the offspring. And, apparently there are men out there who don't really care how defective their partner for a night really is.

In the 40's & 50's some US medical facilities spayed & neutered hundreds of folks believed to need removal from the gene pool, but apparently many were normal enough to be able to file (& win) law suits in subsequent years.
