to thinking. what would you buy if you were stupid rich? I never understood the 50 room mansions and yacths(sp?) for 1 or 2 people but I would buy a fully restored tiger or super tiger tank.
wonder what that would cost?

Ya know a Tiger tank would come in handy to patrol the perimeter of my 3000 acre estate. [:D] It would be awesome to have the funds to build a private military collection.
ya mean you don't already have one?[:o)][:D]
I'd buy a decommissioned silo and go town on making it livable with a state of the art shooting range [:D]
dam - already off topic (WEAPONS), but OK, I guess a silo itself COULD be a weapon....once removed[:p][:D]
The Supermarine Spitfire is an awesome plane, but I would buy a P-51 Mustang with 6 .50 cal machineguns and 100,000 rds of ammo for them.
and a pair of full size monster trucks hooked up to remote controls for entertainment

Which would earn me the sum total of a smile and a handshake and a ride once in a while.
I would enjoy the heck out of owning some smaller weaponry for my two mile deep shooting range. Some heavy machine guns would be a hoot. The odd rocket launcher. Maybe some old time cannon for the black powder enthusiasts. Certainly some Gatling Guns!
Set out some steel drums of explosive fun and invite the neighbors for a BBQ and shooting exhibition. Everybody bring yer toys!!!
Yeah, that'd be a fine way to waste a million bucks or more on ammo, food, drink and bouncy castles for the little kids each July 4th!
Of course, in this imaginary world there is no NFA or GCA or later laws and amendments to put a damper on the good times.
Yup, wallet the size of a dump truck and count the cash with a grain shovel, that'd be me [8D]
wouldn't spend much money on cars.
The rest would go toward "decorations" for the boats..[;)][;)][8D]

It is bought and sold right?
I would buy some 22 rimfire.
ding ding ding ding!!!!!!
no matter the amount of money I had I am sure I could something else to bring to my private Island be like the James bond bad guys , in the old movies I just not be threating the world [:D][:D][:D]

I was thinking the same thing.

Which the estate or the Tiger? Sadly neither, just a lower middle class schlep living on 6 acres on the side of a mountain. [;)]

I watched a show on TV where there are companies that specialize in turning decommissioned Silos into luxury homes and condo facilities.
I'd rather have one of these:
Got a ride in one once. There's not much difference between 120 and 180+. The phone poles just go by a bit quicker. [}:)]
But for military weapons, I'd like one of these:

Easier to get ammo for that than it is to find .22 LR.....

Since I AM independently wealthy, I bought THIS 2 years ago-
