Was up in the attic putting away some Christmas stuff and found my old turn out gear. Set of boots, bunker pants and my helmet. I was on Station 313 and 318, Lenola Volunteer Fire company and Emergency squad. I'am sending it to my nephew in Texas, that collects old firefighter stuff. Now I just have to find some patches for him. Oakie'

That's cool. Both Denise and I were on a Vol.Fire Dept. for several years. We were both D/O. I drove the pumper engine, and Denise drove the 2500 gallon water tender with 20 gears. Once she got it rolling from dead stop she could get all gears without using the clutch, and not grind gears. We really enjoyed serving.
