Got kicked out of the house (Update this morning)

[:D] Wife has a 102 fever and told me to go coyote hunting tomorrow. No honey do list, no nothing. Honey said, why don't you just go coyote hunting with your friends tomorrow and go down the gun club Sunday with your father[:0] I think she must be delirious. Either way, I got a weekend to go enjoy myself. Now I feel guilty[V] Choices, choices. Stay around the house and get sick, or take her advice and get yelled at for leaving her alone with my mother[B)]

In all seriousness, I have not seen Donna this sick, EVER. She never gets sick. She is the healthiest person I have ever met. I feel bad for her. It takes a lot for her to go to the doctors and she went today. Doc thinks she has the bug going around. Might be contagious. Great. Sleeping downstairs for a few nights. Anyone else have this crap. Oakie


All five of us have it this morning[xx(] I woke up a half hour ago with a fever and cough, as did our son. Mom and Dad said they both feel like crap. Great, just friggen great. I am still going to try to coyote hunt if I can push myself today. Damn, just damn

    Crud is going around all over here since the snowbirds are in full bloom. So far I have escaped, but it will take a lot of luck to avoid it entirely since I'm around so many people each day.

    After having surgery to remove a section of my large intestine a couple of months back I'm afraid that a bout with the flu just might do me in.

    My wife and I have pretty much gone into quarantine since there's so many people sick with the flu in our area. We've not been out to eat or gone any where else where there are crowds of people for a while now. We bought enough groceries to last us a couple of months the last time we went to the grocery store. We stop at a small store near where we live to pick up milk and bread etc as we need it and that's about it.

    When we want to get out of the house for a while we pack a lunch and go cruising out in the country or go to an outdoor shooting range over in La Grange, GA during the week when there's nobody around.

    We didn't go back home to Tennessee for Christmas last month due to my Mom and sister along with my oldest Son's family all having the flu.

    Hopefully we can hold out until all this crap passes.

    lots of info this bug lasts along time ...hard to shake it all off...had a bout in November and toasted the hard part out by COOKING under a heating pad for 2 days..but still took another 2 weeks + to get rid of all the crap..some here felt horrid for about a month....one can get this crap from a mile away..contagious like the plague...stay a hermit smitty ...this bug grows on boiling water and battery acid

    One of the guys I work with was out the week before last and he described it as - didn't leave the bedroom for 5 days, lose 15 lbs, still hacking kind of flu. Dr told him to stay away from people and not come to work kind of flu.

    My whole family got sick couple of days after Christmas and thru a few days past New Years. Sinus mostly. The best thing is to stay in, get as much rest as possible. Don't let it turn into pneumonia. The Alka Seltzer Plus day and night seemed to help more than anything.

    I use the homeopathic method; since nM is such a melting pot of South American diseases, we never get the really bad stuff due to our overexposure to even worse stuff.
    Haven't had so much as a head cold since the 60s (cardiac crap excluded).

    My brother had the crud around Christmas and said he only got out of bed to use the bathroom or get another Gatorade for 5 days. The whole ordeal was a couple of weeks.
