Dallas man opens fire for no real reason

John Beaty White observed 2 people in a car with a handgun, assumed they had criminal intent and opened fire.

The news report says he "fired nearly 15 shots" (italics mine) - seems it wouldn't be too hard to put an accurate number there. Only one shot caused injury.

quote:Police said the shooter, identified as 33-year-old, John Beaty White has been charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

Police say he is ex-military and believe PTSD may have played a factor.
I used to recruit for the NRA until they sold us down the river (again!) in Heller v. DC. See my auctions (if any) under username henryreilly

They will probably use this as proof returning vets should lose 2ond amendment rights.

Sounds like he's lucky, had he fired on me, I'd of shot back. And I'm not trained in spray & pray like it sounds like he was. I would have hit him 8 times with 8 rounds, or until he dropped and stopped

He shot 15 times and only one shot connected? What the hell are they teaching our soldiers in the military?

Practice, practice, practice. I pull the trigger of my pistol between 500-700 times a week so I don't have to spray & pray.

Sounds like with that degree of marksmanship he's got a good chance for a career in law enforcement.

I wonder if he was the storm trooper that applied to the police academy.
