Fort Worth Gun Show

Went to the gun show in FW today. Really sad. Reman 45 cal ammo for 50 cents a round, no powder, same AR crap everywhere, prices at least 20% too high on everything. Saw only one table with a nice collection of Colt SAA revolvers. Had a nice chat with the gentleman at the booth.

Ended up buying some targets and bore brushes and left with my cash in my pocket. The wife couldn't believe I came home without a new pistol/rifle. Gun shows are just sucking these days. Not worth the time any more.

That used to be a great show. Got most of my toys there, but it's been a lot of years since I purchased there. I went a couple of months ago and left empty handed. Back in 2007 I bought 5000 bullets at that show at a great price. Glad I did.

Went to a show there about 5 years ago and swore I'd never go back.

I used to buy all my ammo at gun shows, but sadly that was a few years ago.

As a young pup Ft Worth was the first gun show I ever attended, back when it was held in a livestock exhibit barn out back.

Picked up a clean/unmolested Remington-Rand 1911A1 for a shade over $200 and had to think long and hard over spending that much. [:D]

Unfortunately Fort Worth has an ordinance on having powder and primers there. The show in Dallas always has powder and primers. That's where I get my supplies...cheaper than Bass Pro and Cabelas for sure.

Didn't know that, good to know. They also banned vaping in buildings in FW. Guess there is no reason to go to FW EVER again.
