I think it was a new (smaller hoping we are too stupid to realize the big price increase getting so much less represents) 400 count brick and price was $39.95. Add sales tax and you are better off buying from the gougers at the gun shows. Sad and maddening situation. I saw three guys walking out with some as I walked into proving how desperate the situation had gotten.

My friend in CA said he saw some Federals in a shop where he lives. They were 50 count boxes tagged at $5.99 each. That's $60 a brick. He bought 10 just because it was the first he'd seen in two years.

Unacceptable...

Local Safeway tried to charge $ 0.50 per ear for corn on the cob.

JMHO the gun shops have decided to sell at market demand prices in place of selling at normal price and have some one make money on the sale , I can understand that reasoning . why give the profit to some one else . I would guess if your a regular customer or know the owner you would get a break in the price ,

my oldest son just bought two boxes of Winchester 333 round at wall mart for a friend of his told me they had maybe 5 or 6 boxes left left this was 7;30 am on Tuesday morning ,
youngest son told me he was a t Dicks maybe Dunamns I was not paying that much attention ? about 40 miles from us has had the shelf's loaded for some time , from boxes to buckets of them . he thinks the area the store is in no one is stopping by . I may make a run by next week while out shopping with the wife and check it out .
he did not say what the prices were but if they had been stupid high he would have said so .
more showing up on the ammo sites also , at least now its out there not pre panic inventory at the retailers but filtering in

I too am a small dealer. We sell .22 ammo at suggested retail and sell what I get. As info in order to get .22 ammo Wholesalers ask what else can I ship with that .22 ammo. As most know, .22 ammo is Allocated and usually goes to the big accounts. I spend several thousands dollars a week to get .22 ammo for our customers!
