Dang tazzer, sure hope you get well soon! Recovery is most always a bear but time is your best friend for healing.

Now I seem to have dual hematoma's quite similar to your pics but have always just called them "love handles"[:I]

All the best to you sir!

Ouch, my understanding of a Hematoma is a collection of blood/vessels that occurs after an injury like a big bruise.
Why don't we go to school and work on the weekends and take the week off!

thanks guys, it will been two months since the surgery and still have pain from both that and the pocket of blood. it seems Im starting to get some feeling back on my side and feeling more pain now.

I tore something while still in the hosp. from the surgery and thats where the hematoma came from [:(!]

Yep had one on my knee. Took something like two months before back to normal. Had to pack with gauze to slow the healing from inside to outside, was healing from outside to inside causing problems.

The word in Latin basically translates to blood tumor IIRC.

    ouch
hope it heals up quick for you looks like a lot of battle scars you have there

when my youngest son came into the world he had one on the side of his head just above his ear (I think they grabbed him pulling him out caused it but they would not say so ) but it took several months to go away . looked like a small egg on the side of his head with countless blood vessels running thru it

At least you're alive. My cat had an aural hematoma (blood bubble in ear), and the vet killed him while trying to fix it.[:(]

After this much time I would seek out the opinion of a different doctor. Way to much danger of that sinus (blood pocket) becoming infected.

A very good chance it needs lancing and packing
