Christmas Present Made Me Cry

My Dad died in 2014. Every day after supper my Mom and Dad would go on the porch and sit in rocking chairs and watch the deer or a owl or hummingbirds.

My daughter bought me a old time lantern with a rocking chair in it with my dads name on it. It has a battery operated candle in it along with a Christmas tree in there also.

It has a nice saying on the glass that reminds me of my dad also.

    Sounds awesome Dave! I miss my dad very much as well and especially during the holidays, it seems his memories shine the brightest even after 25 years being gone.

    I made my wife a very simple bird feeder this year for Christmas and I overheard her on the phone talking to one of our sons, how much she loved her present from me.

    It brought a few tears to my eyes (known only to me) and was more special than anything I have ever bought her.
